Frequently asked questions
The Woman’s Health Bus accepts self-referrals and referrals from health practitioners for people living in the areas we provide care.

First visits usually cost between $250 and $350. There may be additional costs for procedures.
Please check with our administrator for details regarding your care.
You will be invoiced after your appointment if you need a payment plan please discuss this with our administrator.

Yes, we have space for you to bring a support person.
(we are a small clinic though, so we can't fit the whole whanau!)
It is always helpful if we have as much information as possible to ensure you get the best care but we happily accept self referals.
No. We DO NOT stock drugs on the bus.
Yes - however there will be a $15 charge, as we are a private non-profit making oganisation.
No, but there will be a charge which covers the direct costs of providing care to you.
No sorry, usually you will have to make an appointment in advance. We do run drop in clinics at events, these will be advertised on our Facebook page. These may be free care events.
Sorry, we have looked at the options but at this time it is not possible.
Yes, there are three steps to get into the bus.
